He is our friend.

“…but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.” —John 15:15

So many things about our Savior seem too wonderful to be true, and none more than Him calling us His friends. 

Think back to your first day of school, work, or even some place like a conference where you knew no one. Being alone in a crowd can feel so isolating, even overwhelming. 

But facing a challenge with a trusted friend by your side can make all the difference. Jesus wants to be that trusted friend for each and every one of us. 

Two verses before, He explains how deep His love runs for us. “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.”

He willingly gave His life for you, to pay your penalty, so that you could have eternal life. 

You’ll never find a greater, more trusted, ever-present friend than Jesus.
